Well-being Retreats got together with Artist RAMONA PINTEA to create this unique creative painting and yoga retreat.
RAMONA is an artist and SHE LOVES what she does. She grew up in Brasov,
and she moved to London in 1991 where she studied and lived until 2009
when she came to Bucharest. The combination of having been brought up in
a communist country and having matured in cosmopolitan London, has
given her the need to not take life for granted and to enjoy every
minute of it. Her paintings are bold, optimistic and joyful. She has
exhibited in Romania and abroad and has her works in private collections
in UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland Romania, Mexico, Canada
and the USA.

Autumn is here and it is one of the most spectacular seasons in terms
of richness of color. For those of you who get inspired by nature's
spectacular show of beauty, we have put together a weekend getaway to
paint, practice yoga, find your center and your creativity.
In
terms of painting abilities, you can be a beginner or have some
experience under your belt, it doesn't really matter. Painting is about
expressing your emotions in a visual medium and I'll be guiding you
every step of the way.
PAINTING WORKSHOPS
There are 3 painting workshops of 3 hours each.
It takes a while to get out of your head and into your heart, connected to nature and paint from an authentic, joyful place.
We will start each class with a short guided meditation to help you do just that.
- First session, on Saturday morning, we will find the subject you are
most interested in painting and we'll talk about the composition and
the style you would like to approach. Weather you want to paint an
abstract picture, a flower or a landscape, it's up to you. Ramona will
be teaching you techniques such as observation, composition, movement,
structure, flow to guide you through the technical challenges.

Second session, on Saturday afternoon is when you get started on your
main painting. We will discuss what works and what doesn't work from
your morning schetches and you will make decisions on how to proceed. In
this workshop we will focus on color. Mixing, blending, combining,
tonality, heat, what emotions it expresses. We'll also look at various
techniques on applying the paint and discuss which one suits your own
painting.
- Third session, on Sunday morning, depending on how the
previous day went we have two choices: you can finish off your painting
or you can start a new one.
PAINTING MATERIALS
We supply
all painting materials you need for the weekend (acrylic paint only, if
you would like to work in oils, please bring your own). You just bring
your smile and appropriate clothing.
YOGA
Included in the
package are 2 Yoga sessions. They are designed to help you connect to
your body even more and engage your creative center. If you have never
practiced yoga before, this can be a great opportunity for you to give
it a try.
If you would like to join, please bring your Yoga mat with you.
To guide us into the fascinating world of yoga, we are honoured to have
ANA CORDEA accepting our invitation. ANA is the co-founder of Yoga
Academy Romania, yoga instructor for more than 10 years, certified yoga
teacher from Bindusar School, certified Coach & Master NLP Rezonans
from Kutschera Institute, Reiki teacher&therapist and Bach remedy
therapeut.

LOCATION
We found the perfect location in Bran, Vila Carpathia, very near the
Castle, a place stunning and comfortable, surrounded by mountains and
rich in Romanian culture and traditions. We have multiple choices of
painting locations and plenty to be inspired by.
COSTS
Included in the price are following:
- Two nights accommodation.
- All meals included except drinks (starting with Friday dinner and ending with Sunday lunch)
- All painting materials you will use during the weekend: easel,
acrylic paint, 2 canvases, brushes, papers, pens. etc. Except from your
own paintings, all remaining materials are to be returned after the
weekend.
- All painting teaching sessions.
- 2 yoga sessions with Ana Cordea
What isn't included:
- Your transport to and from the location.
- Your drinks.
EARLY BIRD PRICE: if you pay a 50% deposit before the 10th of September
: €295 based on 2 people sharing the room or €320 single occupancy.
FULL PRICE is: €330 based on two people sharing the room or €355 single occupancy.
